The IPSL-Climate Graduate School is thrilled to announce the upcoming Summer School on Atmospheric Composition and Air Quality, to be held in the beautiful city of Paris, France!

Join them for an immersive week of learning and collaboration focused on the latest research, tools, and challenges in the study of atmospheric composition and air quality. The program will include:

  • Interactive lectures by leading experts
  • Hands-on workshops using numerical modelling and observations.
  • Site visits (observation platforms, air quality agency)
  • Networking opportunities with peers and professionals.

Main topics :

  • Introduction to gas phase and  aerosols atmospheric chemistry (sources, reactivity…)
  • Impacts on air quality, exposure of the population to air pollution
  • Interaction between atmospheric composition and climate
  • Methods used for the monitoring of atmospheric composition: observations and numerical modeling
  • Policy and operational monitoring

Who can attend?

This summer school is designed for graduate, PhD students and young professionals with a strong interest in atmospheric science. Participants from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. 

Logistics

  • The summer school is offered by the IPSL Climate Graduate School free of charge.
  • Complimentary lunches and coffee breaks will be provided during the event. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs.
  • Financial support for accommodation in Paris: A limited number of shared double rooms have been reserved (prior arrangement with participants is required). Priority is given to students living outside the Paris region. Would you be interested? Details to follow.
