PhD scholarship opportunity in the Valencia Solar Radiation group and associated with the project: Development of an integrated Lidar-MWR observational technique to explore aerosol-cloud interaction processes.
The scholarship would be for work on the study of aerosol-cloud interaction phenomena, combining vertical information provided by Lidar and microwave radiometers with information from the entire atmospheric column.
PhD applicant requirements:
– Degree issued by a non-European Union institution (equivalent to >300 ECTS; Bachelor’s + Master’s or Bachelor’s degree)
– Degree in science, architecture, or engineering, obtained after January 1, 2020
– Not already holding a PhD.
Qualifications:
– Previous training and experience in atmospheric sciences, remote sensing, lidar technology, and/or microwave radiometry is a plus.
– Programming skills in Python, Matlab, or any other scientific programming language are a plus.
Contract characteristics:
– 4 years; if the PhD is completed in the first 3 years, the final year will be a postdoc.
– Start date: October 2025.
