The IISTA organizes a colloquium on DANAs, hydrology and flood management

The Inter-University Institute for Earth System Research in Andalusia (IISTA) invites the entire academic and professional community to participate in the talk-colloquium entitled:

“DANA: Convective precipitation, hydrological response and integrated flood management”, which will take place next Wednesday, November 20, at 12:00 noon in the Conference Room of the IISTA.

The program will include two keynote presentations:

  1. “DANAs and convective precipitation”, by Professor Juan Antonio Bravo Aranda, from the Department of Applied Physics.
  2. “Hydrological response and torrential events in Mediterranean environments”, presented by Professor Agustín Millares Valenzuela, from the Department of Structural Mechanics and Hydraulic Engineering.

After the presentations, a discussion space will be opened with the colloquium entitled:

“Torrential precipitation and runoff: multidisciplinary approach for a better warning system?”
