What a Doppler lidar can do for you

The entire university community is invited to the following seminar:

Title: What a Doppler lidar can do for you.

Speaker: Dr. Pablo Ortiz Amezcua, postdoc at the University of Granada.

Location: Conference Room of the Andalusian Institute for Earth System Research (IISTA)

Day and time: Friday, January 24, 2020, at 13:00.

Overview:
Doppler lidar is a type of 24/7 and robust automatic lidar system that provides wind speed and turbulence information in the first kilometers of the Atmosphere. As a result, applications of Doppler lidar have been found in a multitude of research fields such as micrometeorology, air quality, atmospheric dynamics and renewable energy. This fact makes Doppler lidar one of the instruments with the greatest potential of the Atmospheric Physics Group. In this seminar, scientific applications of Doppler lidar will be presented in the framework of the Doppler Lidar Workshop held during the morning of January 24 at IISTA.
